Studio Koak produces  a distinctive range of ethically made accessories in North West Tasmania.

 

The maker behind the brand, Kim James, draws upon her special skills in leatherwork and hardware to create one-of-a-kind and small run products for the discerning shopper that considers sustainability and the environment in their purchasing choices.

 

About the product -

Kim calls upon her specialised training and employs various mediums in her product development process.  With exclusive ranges featuring premium hand-selected leather, eco friendly paper and lush fabrics sourced from around the globe, all Studio Koak creations are handcrafted with intense focus on quality, attention to detail and small batch production.

 

All leathers utilised by Studio Koak are hand-selected from an Australian Tannery.  The tannery has developed a tanning process in conjunction with Kim which is exclusive to Studio Koak.

 

Working specifically with this tannery ensures that this natural product is ethically made and governed by Australian law regarding the environmental impacts of the tanning process. All hides are a bi-product of the meat industry, and the tannery works closely with the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals).

Studio Koak seeks to build  strong and lasting relationships with stockists and offers geographic exclusivity to bricks and mortar retailers.

Once approved as a Studio Koak stockist, Kim will be in contact with a code that allows retailers to shop directly via the Shopify platform. Once your order is placed, Kim will begin her labour of love;  hand-crafting high quality products for your customers to enjoy for years to come.
